I’m Wendy and I am mummy to my six-year-old daughter, Little I, and two-year-old Wolfy (for privacy reasons I use pseudonyms). We live in Bournemouth very close to the sea, which is where I also grew up. I run a small business from home with my husband Andy.
Writing is my passion, and my blog is my creative outlet, as well as the place where I share my thoughts and feelings on parenting. I hope that one day it will also be a sort of scrapbook of memories for my children. While I spend a lot of time writing in-depth content for other brands and businesses, I hope that one day I will hold in my hands a book that I have written and had published.
I have been working in the online media industry since 1999, and was an early adopter of social media. I have worked as a journalist, PR consultant, trainer, community manager, writer and business entrepreneur.
After having my daughter in 2009, I made my exit from the PR consultancy that I had set-up three years previously and embarked on a new business venture, an online PR and content creation consultancy called Populate Digital. If you are interested in finding out more about my day job, please feel free to visit the Populate Digital or Bloggers Required website.
Additionally I am an experienced trainer in online PR and social media, and media training, and am a trainer for respected digital marketing training organisation Econsultancy, for whom I also do a lot of writing.
